The Botanical Table: Indigo Series Table Linens

Ruth Wickremesooriya's embroidery designs for The Botanical Table focus on the beauty of Indigo.  Each of the colours in the Botanica TInctoria collection is derived from plants, and Ruth's embroidered collection is a tribute to the elegance of Indigo before we extract it's bewitching blue dye.  With tone-on-tone embroidery in shades of Indigo, images of the leafy plant are worked onto large and small napkins, a runner and napkin rings.  Shown in Eri silk embroidery threads stitched on Indigo dyed linen. The designs would also be great used on a bag, sweater, shirt or skirt.
